Hat Trick’s commanding physical presence
Hat Trick provides a badly needed new direction to outcross tightly bred mares of the highest quality. His commanding physical presence and scope, plus the fact that he can drop the inbreeding coefficient of foals, adding headroom to many of todays pedigrees, cannot be denied.
That he brings not only the magnificent Sunday Silence, but a grand mare line, an estimable race record, and classic physical presence, suggests that he can add soundness and durability as well as speed to his get when crossed to Mr. P, blushing Groom and Northern Dancer line mares. We are looking forward to breeding him to several families.

初めまして、BouquetFragrance＝ブーケフレグランスです。
昨年の１０月１４日に、想い出の馬・２ ハットトリック(HAT TRICK・香港名・三連冠)というタイトルで、サラブレッドのハットトリックを取り上げてみました。
この時は本当に、ありがとうございました。
ぼくも、YouTubeで、ウォルマックファームで繋養されている、ハットトリック(HAT TRICK)を拝見して本当に綺麗に撮影されているようで、よかったです。
ぼくが、2005年の11月20日に行われた、マイルチャンピオンシップを見たとき、ハットトリックはまだ現役で、キャロットファームの所有馬として、栗東の角居勝彦厩舎に所属していました。
(ハットトリックは、2004年のデビュー当時は、美浦北の、清水美波厩舎に所属していましたが、休養中の間に、栗東の角居勝彦厩舎に移籍しました。)
ゴール前で、ハットトリックは、追ってくる、ダイワメジャーをハナ差抑えて優勝、馬主のキャロットファームに初の重賞をプレゼントしてくれました。
その後、同年の12月11日に香港マイル(シャーティン競馬場)でも、ザデューク以下を抑えて優勝できた事は、ハットトリックが、マイルチャンピオンシップでの活躍ぶりが、香港の重賞レースで参戦し成果を成し遂げたのを、想い出します。
昨年・5月10日に惜しくも登録抹消され、ウォルマックファームで新種牡馬として送ることになった事は、WEBを通じて、新たな活躍を見せてくれる、ハットトリックにとっていいニュースになりました。
今年から、ここ、ウォルマックファームで種牡馬として送っている他、南アフリカでシャトル種牡馬として繋養される事になっている、ハットトリック(HAT TRICK)の今後の活躍を期待したいと想います。

I really am considering booking my mare to Hat Trick.
We all know that Sunday Silence basically makes Storm Cat look ordinary, as a sire and sire of sires.
Many other Sunday Silence’s have gone on to prove themselves at stud and most of them were nowhere near as qualified as Hat Trick is.
That’s the way I’m looking at it!

A friend of mine said that he though the Hat Trick wouldn’t be a commercial stallion. I totally disagree.
Sons of Sunday Silence have terrific appeal to international buyers, especially the french and japanese. Selling a good yearling in Deauville (in Euros!!) for example would have all the potential to be a lucrative earner!

There are a number of studs that started out with limited commercial appeal and have made their own market. I am thinking of Exchange Rate, Distorted Humor, Stormy Atlantic and others. Success on the racetrack can create commercial appeal for the right kind of yearlings.

I was thrilled to see a son of the great sunday silence
brought to the US. I have long wondered why we were not trying to bring oneof his sons to America. I was sad when Sunday Silence went to Japan as I thought it impossible to believe he was not a “commercial” sire.
I had also loved Halo. I wish Hat trick every success
as I believe he surely will be a much needed infusion of new blood to American racing.
